Ten-year-old Jessica Scott pulls in a 20 pounder of the rocks

Jessica Scott aged just 10 years old looks to have broken her own NZ record for land-based snapper with this 11.11 kg monster off the rocks.

Fishing with her family by her side, Jessica showed great determination to fight this monster to the surface. All while sitting down.

The fish officially weighed in at 11.11kg (24.5lb), this is currently being rattified as a national record. Jessica already holds the record with an 8.55kg fish she caught a year ago.

Jessica was fishing off the Karikari Peninsula, Northland.

It looks like Jessica is only getting better, fish beware!
