Fishing Legends Grand Prize Update
We know fishos are a passionate bunch and you have certainly given us food for thought with regard to our recent announcement about the finalists for Fishing Legends. It is clear from the feedback that there was some ambiguity in the way we communicated how our winner would be found, and for that we apologise.
You have convinced us that we need to re-think this process and as a result the final winner will be decided by a draw of the 12 finalists. When we say draw, we mean all the monthly winners will have an equal chance of winning the main Mercury 60hp outboard prize.
Meanwhile the three best videos, as selected by our judging panel, are in with an additional chance to win a great prize pack including a Nikon camera and Shimano rod and reel.
We’d like to thank you for the feedback and all the effort everyone has gone in to entering and voting for Fishing Legends over the past 12 months. We would like to also thank our terrific sponsors who make all this possible.

Hi, so the winner will be announed on the night then? I got an invite but its in Auckland,was wondering If a name is announed do we have to be present at the meeting to recieve the prize , Amanda from Amberley , North Canterbury.(A finalist) Thankyou...

Hi there, thanks for your messages. You don't need to be present on the night to receive your prize - if you are not there the prize will be sent to your nearest Mercury Outboard dealer. Jason - it sounds like you've received your invitation now.
