Win seafood festival tickets!
On Saturday, September 21 the Port Chalmers Seafood Festival will celebrate the distinctive seafood flavours of Dunedin and the Otago region and showcase the vibrant Port Chalmers community.
As well as delectable food prepared by local and celebrity chefs, festival-goers will find more than 40 different stalls featuring local blue cod, crayfish, clams, oysters, whitebait, mutton bird and more.
The majority of stalls will have a seafood theme, but there will also be a number stalls serving diverse food styles, as well as regional wines and local brews to complement the culinary experience.
Cooking demonstrations will be a feature of the festival; Chef Al Brown will open the event and will be joined on the day by well-known foodies from around the region including Fleur Sullivan, Judith Cullen, Alison Lambert and Bevan Smith from Riverstone Kitchen.
The musical backdrop for the day will be provided by iconic Kiwi singer and songwriter Don McGlashan and Lyttelton band The Eastern, who will be joined at the Classic Hits main stage by Kiwi songstress Hannah Howes and Christchurch Tango group, Tango La Luna.
Graeme Sinclair will again host the Tradezone Kids Gone Fishing With Bluelight Police Event off the wharf and there will be kid-friendly food stalls.
