A great day surfcasting off a West coast sand-dune

Video by Jason Neute

Scouting out a new secluded surfcasting spot on one of the West coast harbours Pea I head out to see if we can find a summer spot which may hold some solid fish, making our way out to the West coast we cross over to a sand-dune on the dead low tide. Although all we caught were Kahawai it was just a recon trip for a future summer excursion, with plenty of current and a nice deep-ish channel to cast into we can't wait for the summer to roll on to give it a good go - an over nighter is on the cards so keep an eye out for an update to see if our big fish detectors were right...
